must create the builder just before building
(i.e. not in #initialize, since #preBuild MUST have
a nil builder in order for some VW apps (RefactoringBrowser)
to work.
This might affect existing applications.
Removed createBuilder and replaced by builderClass.
Allow asking via #requestForClose (also VW compatibility)
